Resco Explorer 2010 Released |
|
Jan 28, 2010 - 11:49 AM - by Wormy
|
Resco have today announced the release of their all new Resco Explorer 2010 (aka v8.0).
"Resco, a supplier of Windows Phone applications and one of the leading mobile software developers officially announced the release of Resco Explorer 8.0, new version of a popular file manager uniting and utilizing all the key features of each Windows Mobile device.

Most of the changes go head to head with improvements of not a long time released new version of Resco Photo Manager. Resco team enriched Explorer with the popular feature of uploading images to Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, Picasa, MySpace and Photobucket. Next main improvement is the introduction of thumbnails view mode. This new mode simplifies work with the image folders. It improves navigation and helps to find the right image. Another big issue; users will be able to recognize interaction with the Photo Manager. The thumbnail loading will become faster and Explorer will support more image file types if users install both programs. The last improvement affects... [Read More]

Elecont Weather v1.0.1029 has been released |
|
Jan 16, 2010 - 7:44 AM - by Wormy
|
Elecont Weather 1.0.1029 has now been released - with a new Windows Mobile 6.5 oriented gesture interface, new themes and new colors.

""Elecont Weather" is more than weather station for your Pocket PC or Smartphone. It produces accurate 10-day and hourly forecasts, warns you in case of high solar activity and severe weather (event of a severe thunderstorm, tornado, blizzard, hurricane, or other natural disasters). The most interesting feature is Barometer - a diagram showing the pressure changes during the past 24 hours. Now you always know the cause of headache if it is linked with changes in the air pressure. When Barometer detects pressure changes then it signals with a red color. "Elecont Weather" displays 10-day forecast with text descriptions separately for day and night time. You may find a lot of useful of weather parameters: "feels like" temperatures, chance of precipitation, humidity, visibility and much more. "Elecont Weather" has a global coverage (more than 51,000 locations). The data is provided by "WSI Corp." (the world's leading provider of... [Read More]

Firefox Mobile... SO Close! |
|
Dec 28, 2009 - 2:07 AM - by Wormy
|
Well if you're anything like me, then you've been counting down the days until the launch of the all new Firefox Mobile browser (aka Fennec)... which is now said to be only days away!
I can't wait to have the bookmarks from my Firefox Desktop app automatically sync with Fennec! This will save me SO much time I currently 'waiste' in transferring bookmarks between Firefox and IE Mobile.

"The first mobile phone version of the popular web browser Firefox is "days away" from launch, the head of the project has told the BBC.
The browser, codenamed Fennec, will initially be available for Nokia's N900 phone, followed by other handsets.
It is currently going through final testing and could be released before the end of the year, said Jay Sullivan at Mozilla, the group behind Firefox.
The open-source browser will be able to synchronise with the desktop version.
Software will mean that any web pages open in a user's desktop browser will automatically open in the mobile version."

HTC Sense 2.5 with Landscape (& a little LEO 2.XX love) |
|
Dec 27, 2009 - 8:36 AM - by Wormy
|
Since the launch of TouchFLO 3D we've enjoyed many updates... each boasting new enhancements and offering a better more streamlines UI...
The biggest jump we've seen previously has been the leap from TouchFLO 3D 2.1 to TouchFLO 3D 2.5...
Recently we've seen HTC wave their magic wand yet again and seamlessly morph TouchFLO 3D 2.5 into the all new HTC Sense... arguably the most user friendly and intuitive release to date...
The one limitation with HTC Sense 2.5 has been the lack of support for landscape. This might not seem like a big deal to a user that does not have a device with a slide out keyboard - like the TouchPRO 2 (aka Rhodium)...
Until now...

Earlier today I flashed an all new build of HTC Sense v2.5 which offers FULL SUPPORT in landscape mode!
The 'cook' behind this all new ROM is 'ark666', who has developed a very solid reputation over at xda-developers.
