Can't execute on my HP IPAQ i5450.
"Application pvbload.exe has performed an illegal operation..."
Program: pvbload.exe
Execption: 0x80000002
Address: 00625d4c
Tweaks 2k2 is installed on storage card.
I said "no" to a number of installation messages asking me if I wanted to replace newer modules with older modules.
VBRegFix had no effect on this problem

One solution can be reinstall everything replacing all files, taking note of what files you are replacing, then after the instalation you can delete the dlls files one by one because they are located in your ROM and after a soft reset you will see how they are coming back from your ROM.
I see that you have read the information about vbregfix, so I asuming that you know already what caused your problem ;)

I uninstalled, then reinstalled, and said yes to all "replace" messages. I then received the identical message.
Unless you've got some better advice, I'm walking away from this software. I wish I'd got the trial, instead of paying up front.

Well, everytime you install and reinstall the software you are making the problem worse. In another hand none of the users that paid for the software can say that they ended without having the software running. ;)

To give you a better advice means to check your registry and find where you have a corruption in the keys calling the pvbload.exe and delete that part and then import the keys from a clean PPC. That will cost time. The easier solution is to hard reset the unit and reinstall all your software one by one and to keep in mind about the existence of a bug in Microsoft Visual Studio which causes problem with programs created in eVB, so it's a good idea to have installed the vbregfix all the time. ;)
Let me tell you, that you can walk away from my software now, but by doing that you wont be able to use any application created in eVB in the future. And those are around 20% of the current PPC market I would say.

I really am not too interested in spending 5 hours to reinstall all my software to make this program work!
If you have specific examples of a "clean" registry, I will get another editor and fix mine...but I need more detail than you have provided.

Well, you can start checking this keys ;)
My question is why I should spend this time with you if you are not planning to buy my software, just to prove you how good is my Tech Support? ;)
But anyway... do not hesitate to ask, I will try to do my best in helping you in either case ;)
Good luck....

Thanks for the information, which I will use & give feedback on.
I have paid you already. However, the bug in the program has prevented me from registering.

If you paid me already, you can use my email so we can use other ways of communications ;) And do not worry! I will make the program run in your PPC. ;)

One thing, the bug is not in my program. It's Microsoft's bug. ;)

I'm entering what I see in my registry right next to your entries

Other than the \ vs \\ difference, it all looks identical.
I should add that I have downloaded & installed the latest service from HP for PPC 2002.

is that a ROM update?
Did you had to flash the ROM?
bigfoot

I've tried to install tweaks2k2v09.exe from the pocketgear site and have a similar problem as to above. Looked over the Visual Basic entries in the registry as you have listed above. All looked the same. Ran the Visual basic fix program and when I tried the tweaks program again, as I have tried it several times, now it loads but tells me my trial period has expired! *eek*
Ok, What whent wrong and/or is this a Microborg goof to keep me out? *borg*
I have the T-Mobile Pocket PC Phone. ROM Version: 3.14.40 Eng. Pocket PC 2002 Phone Edition software. StrongARM processor 205Mhz but I'm sure you know about the specifics of this unit as it's mearly a phone version of an iPac by HTC. I've installed to the Storage Card which is 256Mb in size.

Besize the vbregfix I have listed another program in www.pc-counselor.com/downloads.htm, could you install that one in your PPC and try it?

*wall* Tweaks2k2 runs now, but shows the trial period has expired message now.
vbrepair installed and ran fine... I'm thinking this is being caused by the fact that I tried to run the program a number of times before it was loading right.

Well the error you were getting happens before that part of the program when I count how many times the program have been used ;)
So... you got what you wanted: my program running... now it's the time to pay for it ;)

Well, I haven't actually gotten to try the program out yet... but at least I know it works now. :D
I'l backup my system tonight and try installing it after a hard reset and see how well it helps the pda out. At least it's running now! :P
If I like it, and probibly will if it does all it is supose to do, I will be purchasing it.

You can be sure it does what I say it does. :D But even if you don't buy it... Thanks for Testing my program ;)

I look at it this way. I spent all this time fighting with trying to get it to work. Now that I know it will and what to do on those errors if they come back, once my backup is done, I'm going to see what it is like! *spin*

*master* Definatly a buyer!
You'll get paid for this on my upcoming paycheck! Either Tuesday or Wensday... Look for my registration! *thumbsup*
Only one thing I noticed and thought would be nice, is the tweak where you can adjust the work times... well, some people like me start work at 3pm and end at 11:30pm. Any way that the tweak can be adjusted to take any times like those? Or manually tweak something like that in?
If not, it's cool also. I've lived this long with it! :P

I will think about what you are asking for. And thanks for your words about Tweaks2k2.
