    Default PhatPad Version 2.2 Crashes

Upgraded to version 2.2 of PhatPad on Tuesday night and now I cannot use the app! Every time I try to open it, the application crashes. I have rebooted the iPad (iPad 3) and tried several times, but it will not run.

I have plenty of memory/space and have also trying without any other applications running.

Anyone have any ideas? I have submitted a technical support request, but I cannot access my existing notebooks until I get this resolved.

you must remove a previous version of PhatPad before installing 2.2 (as it is noted in the new features list on iTunes). Even if you installed 2.2 on top of a previous version (it won't work), you still can uninstall it and redownload the app from iTunes.

Sorry, but iTunes does not specify in the features list that you must remove the app.

What will happen to all my notebooks and notes?

Well, I just checked that it does: read the first line in the "What's new in version 2.2" section.

Assuming your files are synced with Dropbox, you simply sync with Dropbox after installing new version to restore your documents. If you did not sync with dropbox, you sill can access PhatPad files from your desktop computer via iTunes (before removing the app, iPad must be connected to USB) and copy them manually (pain). You can also restore your iPad from backup made before 2.2 was installed to get the previous version and sync files with Dropbox then remove the app.

It is now on iTunes, but it was NOT when at 1:29 PM when I looked and replied. Maybe Apple did not update the text properly.

In any case, I have PhatPad working again with my old notes, just in time for a meeting. Thank you

It may take up to 24 hors for text updates to appear on iTunes so it is possible it wasn't there yet. It was not an intendant feature... However it is a good practice to reinstall apps once in a while to cleanup some obsolete files left from from older versions.

Got this version working. I'm not a big fan of reading What' New section because some of the things doesn't make sense to me. I guess I should start reading them before updating the app blindly
