Now the Formal Stuff
Any messages or information you post to the forum become the sole property of the site operator and may or may not be displayed, at the sole discretion of the site operator. The posting of copyrighted or illegal material is prohibited-- you must obey all applicable local laws, including those of the server and site owner. You may not post information invasive of another's personal privacy rights, harrasment, libelous, or information of a confidential or copyrighted nature.
Here are some guidelines to follow when using our forums. Please remember, our forums are moderated, and we have the final word on any content posted:
- There is no censorship in any of the Technology at Play forums, however we may edit or completely remove postings that do not comply with our guidelines.
- Posts shall remain on topic. Off topic (OT) replies are not allowed, and the user should create a new topic.
- Do not post the same question/comment more than once: double posts will be removed.
- Commercial posts are only allowed after contact has been made with the site administrator - and please no fake posts in other threads to bump up.
- Commercial posts shall not have banners, which can be deemed as advertising - for that you should contact us to arrange for advertising options and rates.
- No links to auctions are allowed.
- Posts linking to commercial sites without merit (i.e. a full review or unrelated to the forum) will be removed.
- Please search the forum before posting - you'll find lots of answers here.
- Trolling is not welcome.
- Unlock codes should not be posted.
- Do not SHOUT. Do not post subject in ALL CAPITALS.
- Be considerate and use standard English, do not use SMS abbreviations, this will help everyone understand your message.
- Do not post a reply just because you have a similar problem. Open a new topic. Different configurations may require different solutions.
- To prevent spam bot harvesting, please do not post your email address within a post.
- Please ensure you have a valid and current email address within your profile.
- Do not post ad blocks for any network. These will be removed and the poster banned immediately.
- If you don't agree with someone's post, attack the idea, not the poster.
Posts will be removed and the user may be banned if:
- the post promotes illicit material.
- the post links to copyrighted material not property of the author.
- the post contains instructions on how to circumvent security measures implemented by manufacturers.
- the post is simply for URL dropping.
- the post is one of multiple copies in different forums.
- the post contains profanity and/or adult material.
- the post links to profanity and/or adult material.
- the post promotes pyramid schemes or affiliate programs.
- the post contains abuse of other users.
- the post contains confidential information or information subject to NDA or other agreements.
- the post can be considered liabel.
All IP addresses are recorded (not shown) and will allow us to track fake posts if necessary.
Administrators and Moderators can and will delete or edit posts if these fall out of these guidelines. In some situations the poster may be contacted in private via PM. If the behaviour persists the poster can be locked out of the forums. This ban is for an unlimited time.
Users posting in our forums agree to these terms.
This forum is provided as a public service and your usage of this service may be terminated at any time by the site operator without prior notice. Information submitted to the system should not be considered confidential or private and may be revealed as part of normal system operations. No warranty of service is implied.
